Stephanie takes a holistic approach to employment law advice. She has particular experience in looking beyond the strict legal obligations and giving advice which also weaves in the values and culture of a client organisation.
With an intuitive understanding of how the style and tone of employee communications, documentation and policies are of key importance to a positive workplace culture and a strong ‘employer brand’, Stephanie attracts clients on the strength of her ability to approach employee issues in a way which fits comfortably with that.
Stephanie’s expertise and engaging approach has led to her being recognised as a leader in in the employment law field by Chambers and Partners legal directory since 2010.
Stephanie has worked for employers of all sizes, from charities and family businesses to national and global employers, on a broad range of issues which include steering the client on challenging workplace issues, TUPE, employee issues arising from transactional work and complex Employment Tribunal work (often involving multiple parties).
Stephanie trained with Ashfords in the South West and qualified in 2000. She later joined the Bristol employment team of Osborne Clarke, before working for the niche employment firm Nicholas Moore until 2014.
Stephanie lives on the Somerset levels. Outside work she enjoys time with her young family, gardening (particularly growing anything edible!), lively discussions in a local book group and is a school governor and Chair and a trustee of the charity ‘Friends of Somerset Young Carers Project’.
