Drawing on her experience as a legal adviser, her role as a college clerk, and time as a governor of both mainstream and special needs schools, Emma has gained a considerable reputation for her approach to this sector’s particular employment law challenges.
Emma advises on a wide range of employment law issues. Her particular expertise is in complex redundancy and restructuring programmes, high level performance management, industrial relations issues, equality and diversity and the impact of governance on managing employees.

Emma has specialised in employment law since her early days in London in the late 1980s. On leaving the City she joined Clarke Willmott in the South West, becoming a partner and head of the Employment Team. Emma joined a niche employment law firm in 2009, where she and Stephanie first worked together.
Emma lives in Sherborne, Dorset. Outside work, apart from a busy family life with two teenage boys, Emma and her family have a love of sport, travel and being active in the local community. Emma is also a governor at a local special needs school.
